Lewisham Cyclists joined the Tour de France London team on March 17 in Lewisham marketplace to help publicise the arrival of the world’s greatest cycle race in London – and the Borough of Lewisham.

On July 8 2007 the riders will be speeding through Deptford on their way to Canterbury.

The day before, the Prologue, they’ll be racing around central London. The opening ceremony is on Friday July 6 in Trafalgar Square.

Lots of freebies were dished out, lots of questions answered and of course we grabbed the chance to tell people about Lewisham Cyclists by handing out newsletters and pointing them at our web site to check out our social rides programme. Several promised to join us, why don’t you?
