North Kent Loop - Between Sittingbourne, Maidstone and Faversham, along small lanes between orchards and over part of the North Downs (a slightly longer ride to the one which I led just before Christmas). Suitable for any bikes, though there is a short un-metalled by-road with ruts and puddles, but the surface is hard and I rode it with thin road tyres. About 45 miles, some hills, medium pace.
Meet Cutty Sark Gardens at 9.15am for 9.37am train from Greenwich to Newington (change at Chatham). Return on 4.00 or 4.30pm train. Pub lunch (Painter’s Forstal). Bring spare tyre tube and water.
