Meet: 19:30 Deptford Albany, Douglas Way, London SE8 map Phone: Ian - 07896 872 205 Come along to our regular monthly meeting held on the third Wednesday of every month. This is the place to come to air your grievances about cycling in Lewisham and the surrounding area. Discuss your maintenace problems, get advice on cycling in general and most important have a sociable chat. We retire to the nearby Dog and Bell for a debrief after the meeting.
February Monthly Meeting
Present: Ian Pendleton and Jack Green
Apologies: Roger Stocker, Carole Crankshaw, Dave Mill, Ian White and Paul Taylor.
Jack said that he had written to Lewisham Council about security problems on Eddystone Bridge. IP said that he was aware of other letters also being written on the same subject and that Carole Crankshaw had taken up the matter with Lewisham Council. JG said he would wait and see if he got a reply and then follow up.
IP said he would fill in and send the expression of interest form for Made in Deptford. JG said that he would forward the contact details of the Community Support Officers to IP so that he could ask them to do the security etching at the Made in Deptford event.
IP said that he had set march 19th as a family ride so that they could link up with Lewisham Timebank and run an event together. The ride will probably start at Ladywell Fields go down the Waterlink Way to Beckenham Place then go to Forster Memorial Park and the BMX track before returning to Ladywell Fields. JG said that he would contact Maria from Timebank to make further arrangements.
IP said that Orla from the Green Party had contacted him about the publicity photo that they wanted to do. Because IP couldn’t guarantee that anyone would turn up the shoot was cancelled. Ip said that they should invite Darren to the Made in Deptford event and set up a shoot there.
