We’d like to invite you to the Annual General Meeting of Lewisham Cyclists. The meeting will take place in Lewisham Town Hall, Civic Suite, Catford on Wednesday 21st February at 7:30pm.

If you can only attend one Lewisham Cyclists meeting in a year please make an effort to make it this one.

Invitees accepted to speak at the meeting are:-

Darren Johnson AM (GLA assembly member for the Green party)

Murad Qureshi AM (GLA assembly member for the Labour party)Councillor Heidi Alexander (Lewisham Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Regeneration)

Councillor Mark Morris (Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group Lewisham)

Also invited is the leader of the Conservative group in Lewisham and a representative from the LCN+ to give views from their project team.

Darren Johnson has been invited to give a brief update on the LCN+ following the GLA’s report last year and we are sure he will be able to comment on things in Lewisham. The other speakers have been asked give their views on cycling in the borough of Lewisham and how we can all work together to increase the numbers of people choosing to use more sustainable modes of transport in the authority. We said that we would envisage a short talk followed by a possible Q & A session.

We had originally asked our local GLA rep, Len Duval but he had a prior engagement and Murad Qureshi was able to attend in his place.

We would obviously welcome as many people as possible to what should be an interesting meeting. AGM business will follow the speakers. We are also investigating having an independent person to chair this meeting. Please let me know if you can attend – the room we have booked seats 30 so if we are likely to get more we could possibly arrange for a larger room at the Town Hall and arrange for more.

Refreshments.
