Welcome to Lewisham!
The London Borough of Lewisham is in South East London, stretching from
the Thames in the North to the edges of Kent in the South. Despite threats
that it is to be the new Clapham it continues to be a diverse mix of
all social classes and cultures.
Cycling facilities range from the excellent Waterlink Way (National Cycle Network
route 21) to the truly dreadful Lewisham Roundabout. Lewisham is on the main
car commuter route into London which means that traffic is a major hazard for
bike commuters.
On the up side, excellent rail links can put you in the Kent or Surrey countryside
inside of half an hour. Anyway... on with the information.
